Obtaining Funding
Obtaining Funding
All CPSP studies and one-time surveys must be funded to cover costs. The current cost to conduct a CPSP study is $22 000 for the first year and $18 000 for each subsequent year. The cost to conduct a one-time survey is $5000.
Some studies and surveys receive funding through the Public Health Agency of Canada or Health Canada when the topic is in alignment with federal government priorities.
All non-government study funders must be discussed in advance with the CPSP office and comply with the Canadian Paediatric Society Code of Ethics. Should external funding be obtained, the principal investigator must ensure that the organization or company providing funding has no ownership rights to the data, nor any influence over the study design or the dissemination of study results.
All funding must be properly disclosed in all presentations and publications.
