Ethical approval
Prior to the start of any CPSP study, the investigator must obtain ethical approval in order for the study to proceed. Investigators often apply to their University research ethics board (REB). Although multi-centre ethical approval is not required, it is an asset to obtain approval from several centres. Research Ethics Boards often have questions relating to the safeguard and privacy of the information that is collected through the CPSP. In order to help investigators with their submission, the Program encourages them to view a list of standard questions that are often asked by REB boards.
